Sybell is the vision of a composer and guitarist who chose to draw her own map: soundscapes where philosophy and raw intensity coexist, where literary depth meets visceral impact. Her records are concept works, where every song is a passage and the whole is a world, born from the urgent need to excavate meaning and turn darkness into understanding.

The Secret Key To Helmenor

The Secret Key to Helmenor is a concept album about death, not as an ending but as a constant companion of life: the people we lose, the versions of ourselves we have to kill to make room for the next one, the certainties that fall apart. It is set in an imagined dimension built as five gates – earth, water, fire, air, ether – each opened by a single word, and crossed over nine songs.
Behind the record lie years of research, fed by writers, philosophers and poets who looked at life and death without flinching: Rilke, Poe, Dickinson, Nietzsche, Viktor Frankl, Seneca, Anne Rice, the Tibetan Book of the Dead. Some of them enter the album directly, as narrated quotations inside the songs; others run underneath it, shaping the vision and the writing.

Helmenor Live
The Sybell Live Duo – voice, guitar and harp – brings The Secret Key to Helmenor into an intimate chamber form, following the most atmospheric thread of the album through the whole set. It is conceived for theatres, festivals and curated cultural spaces where deep listening is the experience itself.
Part of the set is written, part of it is not. Between the songs, guitar and harp open into free improvisations: a walk through a parallel universe with a different system of gravity. What happens there happens once, and never returns the same.
A power trio show is also in development, bringing The Secret Key to Helmenor to the stage in its full rock dimension.
